I was recently sent this by a friend a few mornings ago. While I’ve seen mention of this a few times, this morning it particularly troubled me.
The devil wants to take our young people desperately. Every way and means he will do it. While he has much authority on the media mountain he will continue to warp the imaginations and minds of our youth.
But God’s Word is clear that:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
We know what the devil wants to do, we know God’s desire and heart. So what’s wrong still with the world?
My honest cry is that it is me and it is you. It’s the church. Are we so self-absorbed in our own programs, are we too busy with our own lives and families that we forget we are a people with a Mission and Purpose?
Now there are lots of good Churches and good Christians doing much, but surely there must be more of us out there who aren’t?
We need groups that will rise up and contend in intercession for the protection of our next generation. We need the evangelists to come forward. We need fathers and mothers to parent this generation.
Like the call to Isaiah, the Lord asks:
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”
Here’s where the problem comes. Perhaps because the answer is you and I. But how many would be willing to sacrifice? How many would let others go rather than themselves. How many say my own issues are too big – I can’t help anyone else.
But the reply still remains:
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” (Isaiah 6:8)
I believe in the billion soul harvest prophecy, that we can see a billion saved and given to the Lord. Many believe it is young people who will make up the majority of this harvest. That’s why they are so targeted. Before they are born, abortion gets them. After they are born, divorce gets their parents. When their parents are out to work, the media gets them.
How about you and I?
Will you contend for the lost?
Will you intercede for them?
Will you reach out to them?
Will you?
Will I?
“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV
Will we respond differently? Will we say:
Here I am Lord – send me!
Perhaps God has called you to the mountain of education or media? If you are there – then pray that God raise you up. Honour Him every step of the way. He will raise you up like Daniel, Joseph and Esther. He will give you the ear of the king so that you can bring transformation from within these mountains. God surely has a purpose for you where you are.
