God has specific tasks for each of us in the places, and with the people, and at the times He directs. He has marked out the appointed times and the boundaries for each of us (Acts 17:26). To do the good works He has planned in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Even to be in positions of authority to intervene for His agenda at just the right time (Esther 4:14). Therefore God’s design for each of us in our workplace is not just a plan for our good (though it certainly is for our good), but a bigger plan to advance His Kingdom. Glenn will share his thoughts on seeking God’s very specific purposes and plans for us in our careers and workplaces, and then obeying Him faithfully and courageously. He will also share some simple and practical ideas to make your working life fruitful for the Kingdom and impactful on your colleagues and friends.

About The Speaker

Mr Glenn Seah is the Head of Legal, Compliance and Corporate Secretariat at the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX). He is responsible for driving legal and compliance for SGX’s business and operations on a global basis. Mr Seah joined SGX in February 2012 from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was Regional Head, Wholesale Bank Compliance for South-East Asia. Prior to that, Mr Seah had varied roles in SGX, including Regulatory Policy, staff assistant to the CEO, and Head of Surveillance and Enforcement, and as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the Attorney-General’s Chambers. A much more fun fact is that he is part of the global Liverpool fan base. He gets unreasonably grumpy if the Reds lose over the weekend, but knowing that God is in charge helps to cheer him up. He is especially blessed to have a capable wife and two happy children, 15 and 13.
